Roberts, creators of the world's first ever solar-powered digital radio, has now launched its second model - the solarDAB 2.

The new solarDAB 2 is more streamlined than the former model and offers FM in addition to DAB, as well as a battery charger that accepts rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries, offering the user even greater listening flexibility.

The radio's solar panel charges the batteries via the sun's rays when in adequate sunlight and, when out of sunlight, the batteries store enough power to keep the radio running for up to 20 hours. With solar level and battery indicators, the solarDAB 2 also offers a favourite station button, multi preset mode, a line-in socket for iPod / MP3 playback and a headphone socket.

The solarDAB 2 is available in four colours: black, white, red and green.
