First speakers confirmed for Drive to Digital 2017

Digital Radio UK is delighted to confirm that Tony Blackburn and Harriet Scott are among the first speakers to join the line-up for leading annual digital radio conference, Drive to Digital 2017, which takes place on Tuesday 26 September at the British Museum, London.

Legendary radio presenter Tony Blackburn, the first DJ to be heard on BBC Radio 1 50 years ago, will be interviewed by BBC Radio 1 Controller,  Ben Cooper, in anticipation of Radio 1’s 50th Anniversary and the launch of new digital pop-up, BBC Radio 1 Vintage. Award-winning presenter,  Harriet Scott, who will be celebrating the start of her new Magic breakfast show with Ronan Keating,  will Chair the conference, while Tony Moorey, Group Content Director for Magic and Absolute, joins the line up to talk about the Magic of Digital.

With a focus on digital radio in connected cars and homes, Drive to Digital 2017 will hear from John Gahagan, VP, Buisness Operations, Northern Europe, at Sonos, and the team behind Amazon Alexa about the importance of voice-control for radio and the connected home.  Additionally, leading car manufacturer Audi will reveal its new approach to digital radio in connected cars, alongside Joe D’Angelo, Senior Vice President, Broadcast Radio at DTS Connected Radio. Further speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.

Drive to Digital 2017 will feature a digital radio and audio technology exhibition and  be sponsored by leading digital manufacturers and service companies DTS Connected Radio, AutoDAB, Ruark Audio and POPyourCAR, and supported by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
