A fresh new station for Liverpool
A fresh new radio station is launching across Merseyside that brings the local touch back to Liverpool.
Zest Liverpool, a lively new station launches on DAB digital radio on Easter Monday 17 April at 8am. Broadcasting from studios in the city, Zest will be playing a mix of upbeat classics and lively tracks along with the best of the current releases.
Zest is the brainchild of North West entrepreneur Phil England, who says: “In the last few years, many of the great local Liverpool stations have turned into outposts of national brands and whilst they clearly know their audience, some listeners feel a sense of loss. We’ll be bringing back a more locally focused feel.”
The station will feature both familiar and new names. Whilst Zest will be packed with great music the station plans to talk up the best of what Liverpool has to offer.
Phil says: “Zest is a positive station. No presenters lamenting how good it used to be in their day. We’re even considering banning rain from the weather forecasts for the first three months!”
“The key for us is to make a local station Liverpool can be proud of. For advertisers, we’re making radio affordable again. We’ve already had a high level of interest in our launch package.”
As well as broadcasting on DAB listeners will be able to access the station online and via their mobiles.
