RADIO’S DIGITAL COUNTDOWN, an industry conference organised by Digital Radio UK and sponsored by Ruark Audio, will take place on Tuesday 3 November, 0900-1130, at the Cavendish Conference Centre, 22 Duchess Mews, London, W1G 9DT.
With a packed agenda featuring high-profile speakers from across the industry, Radio’s Digital Countdown will mark the start of the countdown to three major landmarks for digital radio in content, coverage and cars in the next year, and will be attended by over 200 broadcasters, manufacturers, retailers and industry stakeholders.
Minister of State for Culture and the Digital Economy, ED VAIZEY MP in conversation with LBC’s NICK FERRARI. This is the first time the minister has talked in public about digital radio policy since re-election.
Senior broadcaster representatives - DEE FORD, Group Managing Director, Bauer Radio; WILL HARDING, Chief Strategy Officer, Global; MARK FRIEND, Controller, Radio & Music Multiplatform, BBC; and CALUM MACAULAY, MD, talkSPORT - will unveil plans and share progress on their digital strategies and stations.
PAUL EATON, Director of Digital Radio, Arqiva,will update on the build out of over 350 digital transmitters, expanding national and local DAB coverage for BBC and commercial radio stations.
The event will also include panel sessions with senior representatives from the UK's leading digital radio supply chain brands, including JON OLIVER, Head of Technology, Halfords; PAUL SMITH, Managing Director, Pure; MICHAEL HILL, CEO, Radioplayer; OWEN WATTERS, CEO of Roberts Radio; ALAN O’ROURKE, MD, Ruark Audio; and JOHN GAHAGAN, Managing Director at Sonos UK.
Jon, Paul and Michael will lift the lid on the ground-breaking new products launching soon that could change the car radio aftermarket, while Owen, Alan and John will discuss the shape of the new audio market.
