Planet Rock changes name to Planet Zeppelin in June
Planet Rock is set to change its name to Planet Zeppelin for the entire month of June to celebrate the re-issues of Led Zeppelin’s first three classic albums plus companion disc. The station ‘Where Rock Lives’ will dedicate a series of special programming that incorporates a multi-platform strategy across on-air, online and social media with a two hour exclusive Jimmy Page ‘My Planet Rocks’ interview special to take centre stage.
The interview with Jimmy Page will play out on air on 1st June and will be available to view on demand via Planet Rock’s YouTube channel. Zeppelin’s new re-issues take over ‘Planet Rock Plays It In Full’ each Monday from 11pm throughout June, a feature which spins classic rock albums in their entirety with no interruptions, jingles or presenters between the songs.
Planet Zeppelin will reach a weekly audience of 1.1 million adults in the UK as per Rajar Q4 2013 and will mobilise its social media channels and Led Zeppelin fan-sites alike to help drive the interactive and listener voting elements of the campaign.
You can listen to Planet Rock on digital radio across the UK.
