BBC launches more transmitters

The BBC has announced the launch of three more national DAB transmitters:

Crumhaugh Hill
Serving the Borders town of Hawick, adding 11,000 people to the coverage of the network and boosts coverage for approximately 7,000 more.

St Mawes Water Tower
Serving the Cornish coastal town, across the estuary to Falmouth and surrounding areas. It adds 14,000 to the network and improves coverage for a further 50,000.

Serving Aberdare and Merthyr Tydfil. This is the BBC's last station for the Heads of Valley Road adding 51,500 people to the coverage of the network and improving the service for another 40,000.

The BBC has launched 5 transmitters over the past week with a further two more expected for Scotland later this week.
