BBC launches new transmitters

The BBC has announced the launch of two new transmitters. One at Stockend Wood, the other at Epping Green.

The Epping Green transmitter serves the north of London and much of the southern half of Hertfordshire – including Harlow, Hertford, Stevenage, Welwyn Garden City, Harpenden, and Hatfield. This transmitter will improve DAB reception for over 1.8 million people.

Stockend Wood provides coverage to Stroud and the M5 corridor up to Gloucester and Cheltenham and improves services for nearly 400,000.
